Self-cleaning permanent magnetic separators or permanent crossbelts, as they are commonly referred to, are used in, almost, every industry where there is a need to clean tramp iron from a conveyor, but, the intensity doesn't have to be as great and the job is lighter duty. Some industries like this are plastic recycling, tire shredding, fertilizer manufacturing, escrap, and many others.

Product Details
Permanent crossbelts are used across many industries where the job is not as hard on the machine as others are. They utilize a belt that goes around a permanently magnetic core that pulls out unwanted material and uses the belt to remove it from the magnetic field. Based on the application, these belts can be standard duty, heat resistant, or even cladded in stainless steel to protect them against sharp pieces.
